With its year-round relaxed holiday vibe, the seaside village of Port Douglas makes for an idyllic family getaway. If you’re into scenic walks, just head across the bridge to the Burleigh Heads National Park. Wander through the rainforest and visit the Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre to learn about the local indigenous history and culture of the Gold Coast.
