Introducing the Warrior: Your Epic 4WD Camper for four!

Picture this: You’re out in the wild, surrounded by rugged terrain and breathtaking vistas. The sun is setting, casting a warm glow over your campsite. And what’s that? The Warrior – your trusty 4WD camper – stands tall, ready for action.

Dual Tents, Double the Fun: The Warrior doesn’t settle for ordinary. It boasts not one, but two rooftop tents. The rooftop tents provide a cozy haven for your crew, with comfortable mattresses, LED lighting and even USB ports to keep you charged. We even throw in a third retractable ladder to help you access the rooftop tents. Whether you’re stargazing or catching some Z’s, it’s all about adventure.

Outdoor Kitchen Magic: Imagine whipping up a feast under the open sky. The slide-out external sink with running cold water and plenty of food prep space is your culinary command center. Set up the 2-burner portable gas stove on the camping table provided to sizzle up some bacon or boil up the kettle for your morning cuppa. Grab a snack from the external pantry or a cold drink from the fridge - all while soaking in nature’s beauty under the 270 degree awning.

Features Galore: This tough looking Ford Ranger is built for adventure – with a bullbar, snorkel, all terrain tyres, two spare tyres, long-range fuel tank, side steps, power steering and automatic transmission, as well as high and low range four wheel drive, you can be confident you have everything you need to head out off the beaten track. And just in case you need them, we also supply a Personal Locator Beacon and Outback Safety Kit including air compressor, shovel and recovery boards.

So, there you have it – the Warrior 4WD. It’s not just a camper; it’s your gateway to adrenaline-fueled escapades. Buckle up, adventurer – the wild awaits!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

These pictures and specifications are indicative of the vehicle that will be supplied under your booking. Actual vehicles may vary according to year of manufacture and availability, but your vehicle will be suitable for the required number of people and have similar specifications to those on this website. Vehicles cannot be requested by make, model, year of manufacture, features or specifications.

For details on Rental Conditions and the Rental Agreement, please refer to our Terms and Conditions page

Locations and Road Restrictions:

Driving on beaches is not permitted. There are also selected roads and areas around Australia that are either not permitted, or you required permission from Britz to drive on. See our full list on pages 8 and 9 of this document

There is a Special Advice form available at the branch that all 4WD customers must read and sign upon pick-up, in addition to the Rental Agreement. If you’d like to read it ahead of time you can find it here.

The Warrior 4WD is available to and from Alice Springs, Brisbane, Broome, Cairns, Darwin and Perth. Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne are only available for travel from 1 December to 31 March.

If you'd like to learn more about driving a Britz 4WD, check out this page for more information.

4WD Safety Gear:

  • EPIRB (Emergency Personal Indicator Radio Beacon) or PLB (Personal Locator Beacon)

  • Outback Safety Kit featuring:

  • Air compressor

  • Shovel

  • Recovery Boards

Driver’s Licence:

A current and full motor vehicle driver’s licence is required and must be produced upon vehicle collection.

If your license is in a language other than English, it must be accompanied by a current international driving permit issued in the same country as the driver’s licence. An accredited English translation will be accepted in lieu of an international driving permit. This must be sighted along with your licence in the branch at pick-up, before we can release the vehicle.

Vehicle Specifications:

For a full list of specifications and to compare our range of Britz campervans, please click below:

For travel between 01 April 2025 until 31 March 2026.

Child Restraints:

A maximum of two child restraints can be fitted to this camper.

A child seat (from birth until approximately four years) or booster seat (for children aged between four and seven years) can be fitted to the passenger seats in the rear (where the two anchor points are positioned).  Child and booster seats are an additional hire item.

For more information on Child Restraints please read our guideline below:

Essential Items included with every campervan:

All our campervans are fully equipped with everything you need to make life easy on the road. Click here for a full list of what’s included in your camper.

Solar Panels:

Solar power panels provide a trickle charge to the 12V battery power supply only, much like the engine battery does when driving. The solar panels will not charge over and above the current draw on the battery, nor will they fully charge it. To fully charge your house battery we recommend plugging into 240V power every two days.

Linen Exchange:

This service is included in the Value Pack. It allows guests to exchange their linen (pillow, pillowcase, duvet (doona), sheets and towels) over for a fresh, clean set during the rental after seven days of travel. The branch will need to be notified ahead of time to ensure the items are available and ready for collection.

Bring your pet:

Well-behaved dogs or cats are welcome to come along for the trip. A fee per hire applies. This is to cover additional cleaning processes that we undertake. For more information on bringing a pet please see our guidance here.

Helpful Tips for the Warrior 4WD:

  • Top-up the fresh water at every opportunity

  • Slightly open the tent windows at night to minimise condensation

  • Do not step on the roof, canopy or bonnet of the vehicle. Always use the side step on the vehicle

  • Always double check to ensure you have stored away the awning and tents securely before travel

  • Lastly, always remember, have your keys with you when you are outside the camper
